The Czech Republic is situated in Central Europe. It has been a member of NATO as of 1999 and of the EU as of 2004, and holds the EU presidency starting January the 1st, 2009. It borders Poland, Slovakia, Austria and Germany.

Prague (population 1.2 million, ranked 29th in Mercer’s survey of the most expensive cities in the world), ‘the little Rome’, the country’s capital is an important artistic, cultural, social, political and economical centre.

Brno (population 400,000) is the country’s second largest city. It is the country’s biggest university town and is currently enjoying a very strong economic growth. Brno is home to international IT and BPO leading companies.
