Responsibilities:

• DB2 installation, configuration and administration
• Batch management, disk space administration, performance tuning
• Tuning databases in AIX environment
• Coordinate system backup/recovery procedures for disaster recovery purposes
• Recommend changes to increase DB2 performance
• Capacity Planning

Technical Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience in ORACLE (8i, 9i, 10g) / DB2 / MS SQL database administration
• Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, UNIX/AIX, Linux) and shell scripts
• Database backup, restore, and recovery experience
• Database administration certificates would be beneficial
• Backup: Tivoli, SAN, Regatta, etc.

Other requirements:

• Minimum advanced level of written and spoken English
• Knowledge of French / Italian could be an advantage
• Customer and service orientation, ability to operate well in an international and multicultural environment
• Analytical skills
• Communicative and able to work in a team
• Technical University degree
• IT certificates
• Reliable, flexible & motivated person
