Responsibilities:

• Provides 1.5 through 3rd Tier support and coordinates timely resolution of problems related to Hosted Virtual Desktops (HVD)

• Responds to calls and/or trouble tickets to reset HVD, refresh HVD, grant temp admin rights, , install, maintain and upgrade a variety of operating systems and/or applications, internet browser software, and other PC software products, and/or enterprise applications as used at the HVD

• Create, deploy, and manage virtual desktop pools for user groups

• Complete assigned projects related to HVD technology and proof of concepts

• Provide on-call coverage on a rotational basis

• Manage and prioritize workload in a way that provides end-to-end support within time and quality standards

• Assures uninterrupted availability and operation of the installed base of information technology systems (all components: hardware, software, and network)

• Designs and implements disaster recovery procedures along with managing day-to-day operation, administration and support planning for installed base

• Performs system and application tuning, optimizing use of technical resources

• Provides technical advice and performs complex technical troubleshooting for a wide range of hardware, software, and network products or applications

Requirements:

• VMware ESX

• VMware View

• VMware View support

• VCP4-DT: Vmware Certified Professional 4 – Desktop (preferred)

• Building an maintaining OS images and software installs

• Fluent in English

Desired Skills:

• VMware ESX

• vCenter

• scripting

• familiarity with Active Directory, shares, and permissions

• Bachelor or Master degree in computer sciences or similar

• Supporting Desktop infrastructure for a global company
