Description:
Our partner is a world leader in transport and energy infrastructure. The company is the world leader in integrated power plants for the production of electricity and air quality control systems. It has solutions for all energy sources and is a leader in innovative technologies for the protection of the environment. It supplies rolling stock, transport infrastructure and signaling, maintenance equipment, and global rail systems.
Responsibilities:
- Work with solutions specialists, business users and team members to identify and understand application requirements
- Ability to complete tasks and produce appropriate deliverables within project time schedules
- Unit/System testing of developed solutions
- Documenting and maintaining source-to-target data mappings and program logic
- Maintain enterprise data integrity by creating integrity reports and mapping tools
- Develop report and interface functional designs and coordinate with the BI Functional Leads
- Create technical designs based on functional designs (requires good knowledge of SAP BI Business content (back-end), data sources in ECC, ABAP, etc)
- Perform peer review of pseudo code
- Create detailed object oriented ABAP specs (tech design) for transformations and user exits based on functional pseudo code
- Develop ABAP code for Flat file data load requirements in terms of file delivery between servers, file formatting, process chain trigger, and error handling in BW
- Develop/build custom info objects, InfoProviders, transformations, etc in BI 7.0 based on technical designs
- Object oriented ABAP programming in BI for transformations, user exits
- Create generic extractors and views in ECC
- Create planning models using BPS/IP tools
- Activate and enhance business content data sources in ECC (with user exits, ABAP programming, etc)
- Unit testing of all developed objects including documentation of the testing
- Fixing issues found during unit testing (trouble shooting, ABAP debugging or routines, fixing, re-tests, etc)
- Develop and test BI BEx ABAP objects like user exit variables
Technical requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- BS degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of relevant and progressive experience (or minimum 3 full-cycle SAP BI/BW projects) or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience working with SAP products specific is required
- Must possess experience with SAP BW/BI Solutions
- Experience in other ETL is plus
- Experience in BI planning using IP or BPS is a must
- Ability to interface with customer and communicate complex ideas clearly and succinctly
- Creating and analyzing reports and data
- Relevant industry experience, Engineering and Construction is plus
- Experience providing Business Intelligence Solutions
- Proven record in applying complex data analysis and data mining techniques in a business environment
- Proficiency in data warehousing systems
- Interface with solutions specialists to design and deploy proper integration
- Be knowledgeable of the needs of the enterprise and businesses, investigate system structures, build and then implement
